Get Access

Access to these capabilities requires a Life Safety Backbone (LSB) account, a CAC and/or alternate token, and an LSB workstation.

  1. Request an LSB Account

    • Download the DD2875 file here. Some of the fields have already been populated for you.
    • Have your supervisor and security manager sign the document.
    • Submit via email to xxx@mail.mil
  2. Request an Alternate Token

LSB requires smart card authentication for access, similar to NIPRNet and SIPRNet workstations. For occassional users, using the CAC can be acceptable, however it requires removing their CAC and locking their NIPRNet workstation. For users that need concurrent, continuous NIPR and LSB access like Operations Center personnel we recommend they request an Alternate Token.

    • Complete the form here.
    • Have your supervisor and security manager sign the document.
    • Submit via email to xxx@mail.mil
  3. Access an LSB Workstation

Access to most ESS capabilities requires an LSB workstation. To request an LSB workstation, open a ticket with the LSB Service Desk. An alternative would be to use a hot-seat/available LSB workstation at the Pentagon Operations Center or Mark Center Security Operations Center.
